cheapeats Criteria...

Is it good?
Is it cheap?
Does it have at least one seat?

cheapeats are restaurants that are recommended for their good quality and inexpensive meals.

Good

It doesn't have to be haute cuisine, but it has to be a place you'd go back to.   Not the kind of place with stuff that makes you wrinkle your nose and say "here, smell this..."
Cheap

We don't care if the place also serves $29 a plate dinners, but if the average price of a meal including taxes and a drink comes under our price range we want
to know.

Meal/Price categories including taxes and a drink (pop, coffee or tea)
- Breakfast for under $5 - most menu items under $4
- Lunch/Brunch for under $10 - most menu items under $7.50
- Dinner for under $15 - most menu items under $12
At least one seat

There are a lot of great spots in town for takeout and delivery and the many amusing street meat vendors. But if it doesn't have at least one seat, bench or stool, then it is cheapfood not cheapeats. We do consider food courts spots - but only if the food is exceptional.

Independant

Preferably places with at least one table but Hand Food, Fast Food and Street Food are all okay too. Hey, we'll even consider local chains - if they are recommended by a lot of people, they're good and they're cheap.

But please don't tell us about McDonalds - we know it's there and we try to ignore it!

So tell us - where do you eat cheap?
