Rạng sáng nay 23/5 trên sân St. James’ Park ở vòng 37 giải Ngoại hạng Anh đã diễn ra trận cầu giữa Newcastle United và Leicester City. Đội hình của CLB Newcastle đang cần tối thiểu một kết quả hòa để sớm cán đích trong top 4 và giành vé dự Champions League mùa sau. Trong khi đó, đội bóng Leicester City vẫn đang xếp thứ 18, kém đội đứng thứ 17 là Newcastle đến 2 điểm nên hi vọng trụ hạng của thầy trò HLV Dean Smith ở vòng cuối cùng vô cùng mong manh.
